Our team wanted another version of our RTM fins for medium waves and middleweight riders while retaining the carbon snap. The result was the Medium (Yellow)Black Tip TM. Featuring full carbon in the base and tip for drive and stability and 1/2 carbon, 1/2 glass in the spring direction (long axis of fin). This fin excels in 4'to 8' surf for riders in the 145 lb (65 k) to 190 lb (86 k) range. Of course you have to pick your favorite template.

We worked with our team riders for four years testing different lay-ups on our carbon fins to achieve a flex pattern that was lively, but not to stiff. The full carbon fins work best in large surf, 6'+, and for heavier riders.
